Algerian Great South tourist destination: New visa issuance measures
The Embassy of People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria has the honor to inform that Citizens from Hungary and Slovenia as well as holders of a residence permit issued by these countries, wishing to travel, for tourist purposes for a period not exceeding a month, to the following cities : Adrar, Laghouat, Biskra, Bechar, Tamanrasset, Djelfa, Msila, Ouargla, El-Bayad, Illizi, Tindouf, El-Oued, Naàma, Ghardaïa, Timimoune, Bodj Badji Mokhtar, Ouled Djellal, Beni Abbès, Ain Salah, Ain Guezzam, Touggourt, Djanet, El M'Ghaiar, El Menia, are no more requested to apply for tourist visa at the Embassy level.
Instead, they need to obtain from an Algerian Accredited Travel Agency of their choice a Boarding Authorisation with a QR Code, that must have been approved by the Algerian Competent Authorities.
The Boarding authorisation is a temporary travelling document the tourists must present when leaving. Regularization visa is obtained upon arrival at the airports or sea or lands border-crossing points of Algeria, where tourist visa fees must be paid.
Notice:
1-Applicant for tourist visa is required to provide the Algerian Travel Agency with all information related to his/her national identity (ies), valid travelling documents, itinerary, etc.
2- Entry Visa arrangements for non-southern cities destinations remain unchanged.
