The Embassy of Algeria in Budapest today commemorated the National Day of Migration

The Embassy of Algeria in Budapest today commemorated the National Day of Migration, marking the 65th anniversary of the demonstrations of 17 October 1961, under the theme:

“From the Depths of Memory to the Horizons of the Future.”

The ceremony was attended by a number of members of the Algerian national community residing in Hungary.

The ceremony included the raising of the national flag, the playing of the national anthem, the recitation of Al-Fatiha, and a minute of silence in tribute to the souls of our righteous martyrs. A speech was also delivered on this occasion.
